PAST EVENT - GCPC Online Workshop No. 1: Expanding Carbon Pricing to New Sectors

Governments often begin carbon pricing in a few sectors, then expand it after successful implementation. Expanding to sectors like transport, buildings, and agriculture requires careful planning, as some sectors are harder to address. This online workshop explores such expansions, with GCPC Partners and affiliated organisations sharing experiences and good practices.

PAST EVENT - GCPC: Driving Global Climate Action

At the UN Climate Ambition Summit, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault joined global leaders in reaffirming support for carbon pricing and its expansion to accelerate climate action and decarbonization. They also welcomed Norway and Denmark as new members of the Global Carbon Pricing Challenge, and Côte d’Ivoire as a Friend of the Challenge.
