PAST EVENT - GCPC Online Workshop No.2: Effective Use of Carbon Pricing Revenues

The Global Carbon Pricing Challenge Secretariat will be having an informal gathering on the margins of EUI Climate Week in Florence. This event presents an opportunity for Partners, Friends, international initiatives, and interested officials to meet one another and discuss the work of the Challenge to date and plans for the year ahead.
PAST EVENT - GCPC Online Workshop No.1: Expanding Carbon Pricing to New Sectors
Governments often start by implementing carbon pricing policies in one or a few specific sectors. After successful experiences, numerous jurisdictions have expanded their carbon pricing policies to additional sectors. Others are currently considering the expansion of their policies. This process requires careful consideration since some sectors are more challenging to address than others.
This online workshop focuses on the expansion of carbon pricing to new sectors such as transport, buildings, and agriculture. GCPC Partners and affiliated organisations share their experiences and explore good practices.
PAST EVENT - COP28 – Driving Change: A Ministerial Event on the Global Carbon Pricing Challenge
This high-level event with Ministers from the GCPC network will highlight new and existing GCPC Partners and Friends and provide them with a platform to showcase their progress and experience in carbon pricing. The event will also launch a new stage for the GCPC, with the introduction of a GCPC Secretariat, website, and branding.

PAST EVENT - GCPC: Driving Global Climate Action
New York Climate Week 2023
Today [September 20th, 2023], during the Climate Ambition Summit at the United Nations, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, were joined by other world leaders to affirm their commitment to carbon pricing and call for its expansion in order to accelerate global climate action and decarbonization. Together, they welcomed Norway and Denmark as new members of the Global Carbon Pricing Challenge, and the Côte d’Ivoire as a Friend of the Challenge.
